Cool cities

Planned environmentally friendly cites like Masdar, involve the use of modern technology in order to build new green cities that help in reducing carbon emission. These cities will be built with green roofs that absorb heat and cut down the emission of carbon by 60%. Not denying the fact these cities are an effective approach towards tackling global warming, however cool cites are impractical due to many reasons.

Firstly, cool cites are expensive to build and to live in. This is because the products and material required to structure these cites are costly as a result living in these cities will not be cheap. The second reasons is that not many
People would be able to like in such cites as the population of the UAE which is around 3 million would be hard to accommodate as Masdar can only have 45,700 people. Lastly it might be true that the city as a low footprint however the Co2 emission from building it would not be low.

To conclude I disagree with practicality of cool cities, as I think instead of focusing and spending money on some cities that can not accommodate the world’s population. We can invest in creating other products that are environmentally friendly products and that everyone in the world can take part in.
